Show Memory #316 - Jeordie and the Mixology Project for Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding

Jeordie and the Mixology Project were in the finals for Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding at the Hard Rock Cafe in Phoenix Arizona. In attendance is Alice Cooper himself!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

It was December 2nd 2010 and it was a beautiful night. Phoenix has the best weather! The Hard Rock Cafe was packed! There were 3 categories that were competing: Soloist, Over 20 years and Under 20 years. The kids that played in the Under 20 category were adorable! One of the them did an Ozzy song converted into a Christmas song. The crowd loved it and by Alice Cooper's face he was enjoying it as well!

Jeordie, admittingly nervous, was absolutely beautiful! She played one of my favorite songs "you want what you want when you want it" and a Christmas song from her mother Melanie, the famous folk singer, who was also in attendance.

There were a lot of great bands that played this night and a good time was had by all. When Alice Cooper went on stage to announce the winners Jeordie was on pins and needles. He called her name and screams roared and people swarmed the band immediately to congratulate them. It was a proud moment for me.

I absolutely love Jeordie and this was a very ecstatic moment for the band. Congratulations Jeordie and the Mixology Project! See you at Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding at the Comerica Theatre (formerly Dodge Theatre) on Dec. 18th, 2010!!

Show Memory #412 - Hogjaw and N17 at Joe's Grotto for Pelvic Meatloaf's 20th Anniversary Party

It was December 4th 2010 and I was at Joe's Grotto in Phoenix Arizona and it was Pelvic Meatloaf's 20th Anniversary party. There were a lot of great bands who performed this night to include Hogjaw, N17 and Back From Ashes.

I arrived early and it was a good thing as this show was sold out and there were people lined up waiting to get in! A good night indeed. I was drinking my favorite drink from Joe's Grotto made by the bartender Ray, called the "Red Devil". YUM!

It had been a while since I've been out and there were so many friends here this night, including Yvonne Laughlin out of Texas whom I've missed dearly. I took the opportunity to take quite a few pictures with several different people!

I was stoked as it was the first time ever getting to witness the band N17 and WOW, what a performance! I felt safe to be right up front during the football mosh pit with the bouncer standing right behind me. (thank you)

An embarrassing moment when the camera guy comes up to me after a song from Hogjaw and says "I loved the part where you were singing along"... I can only imagine what this video will show once it surfaces!

What a great night! Thank you to all the bands and to all my wonderful friends for making this night memorable. ROCK \m/

Show Memory #115 - ROWYCO at the Hard Rock Cafe for Ear Candy Benefit

January 15, 2009 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Phoenix Arizona with ROWYCO (Rock Out With Your Cock Out) and other great bands for an Ear Candy Event.

This was such a fun event. ROWYCO consists of Alex Grossi from Quiet Riot, Dizzy Reed from Guns N Roses, Chad MacDonald who is touring currently with the Bullet Boys and my very dear friend Michael Brahm who is currently on tour with the Flock of Seagulls. This event was a charity event to help put instruments in schools, which I favor very highly.

I was able to meet so many wonderful people and listened to some great music. Alex Grossi and Dizzy Reed were down to earth good people and it was fantastic meeting them. Chad MacDonald and Michael Brahm were truly outstanding in their performance. This band had such great dynamics and it was a lot of fun to be a part of it all.

I played Rock Band for the first time ever which was broadcasting over a wide screen monitor that was atop this golf cart looking vehicle displaying all the action to downtown patrons. Very cool advertising for those of you interested in something a little different!

Show Memory #32 - Strangeland with Joe DeCelle at the Blooze Bar

Strangeland at the Blooze

On Feburary 14, 2009 - Valentine's Day.

I was at the Blooze Bar in Phoenix AZ and one of my favorite people, Joe DeCelle, was playing with Strangeland this night. The energy in the room was great and everyone was having a good time. I love to dance! It is often that you will find me on stage and this night was no different.

To my surprise, the next moment, Joe DeCelle goes to the floor, dances for a moment then grabs me up off stage and begins to spin me around! I'm thinking "OMG he's going to drop me"!

Lady Hathor

But after a couple of spins I was now thinking "I'm gonna be sick" as I was so dizzy.

Joe DeCelle is a talented performer. As a vocalist, guitar player, bass player and harmonica he always leaves you rev'd up and wanting more. I'm thankful to have such a good friend.

Thank you Joe for a memorable Valentine's Day.

Show Memory #62 - 5 year old sings with the Carvin Jones Band

Cheyenne at a Carvin Jones Show.

I love this video because my granddaughter, Cheyenne who is 5 years old at the time, just gets up and walks over, grabs the microphone and starts singing as the Carvin Jones Band is playing. Carvin is Cheyenne's Godfather. You can see Carvin in the background start smiling and step back. It goes dark for about 30 seconds but then you see her singing and dancing. Totally Cute! Towards the end of the video she see Carvin playing the guitar for a lady at the table and so she goes over and sits with the lady to sing. My little show boat! Carvin taught her how to wow the crowd! LOL Good times -- I miss my Chy.

The rest of the video. She's really getting down at this point. So Cute!:

Show Memory #175 - Carvin Jones Band at AZ Bike Week 2010

I was at the Arizona Bike Week 2010, The Carvin Jones Band was on stage and I was working with Lisa Lisa at the merchandise counter when Carvin comes down off stage, grabs me and says "come on and bring the camera". So up on stage I went, in front of a crowd of 10,000 or more people! Mario, the bass player, instantly wants to dance while playing bass and Carvin, what a great showman, starts wowing the crowd. I begin to take photos, afraid to tell Carvin that the camera wasn't working so hot that night, and take pictures from behind to show the crowd mass that was cheering the band and yelling for more! He turns to smile for the camera and then back around to the crowd so I take that opportunity to do a little dance. Oh wait! I'm there for pictures! Ha, so I start taking more photographs as Mario begins to laugh when Carvin yet turns around again to smile for the camera. As the song enters it's completion I wave good-bye and slowly exit the stage. Receiving lots of thumbs up and praise, I finally get time to review the photos with Lisa Lisa. They are crap! The camera was definitely having a bad night. We didn't get to use any of the photos for promos, but sure made for some great memories.

Interview With George Lynch

I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing George Lynch from Lynch Mob in 2009. George was a trooper as this was one of my first interviews and he was in the middle of coming back from errands and stuff so we actually had to piece this one together from all the call-backs! I had great fun talking with George Lynch and hope to hear from him again soon and get some updates!

Enjoy!
