Show Memory #32 - Strangeland with Joe DeCelle at the Blooze Bar

Strangeland at the Blooze

On Feburary 14, 2009 - Valentine's Day.

I was at the Blooze Bar in Phoenix AZ and one of my favorite people, Joe DeCelle, was playing with Strangeland this night. The energy in the room was great and everyone was having a good time. I love to dance! It is often that you will find me on stage and this night was no different.

To my surprise, the next moment, Joe DeCelle goes to the floor, dances for a moment then grabs me up off stage and begins to spin me around! I'm thinking "OMG he's going to drop me"!

But after a couple of spins I was now thinking "I'm gonna be sick" as I was so dizzy.

Joe DeCelle is a talented performer. As a vocalist, guitar player, bass player and harmonica he always leaves you rev'd up and wanting more. I'm thankful to have such a good friend.

Thank you Joe for a memorable Valentine's Day.

Jack Ripper Band and Hogjaw at the Arizona Bike Week 2010

It was a great day out at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona on April 15th, 2010. Two of my favorite bands were playing this day opening for RATT, the Jack Ripper Band and Hogjaw! So many good friends were in attendance for this show. We had a blast! A picture is worth a thousand words ...

Show Memory #62 - 5 year old sings with the Carvin Jones Band

Cheyenne at a Carvin Jones Show.

I love this video because my granddaughter, Cheyenne who is 5 years old at the time, just gets up and walks over, grabs the microphone and starts singing as the Carvin Jones Band is playing. Carvin is Cheyenne's Godfather. You can see Carvin in the background start smiling and step back. It goes dark for about 30 seconds but then you see her singing and dancing. Totally Cute! Towards the end of the video she see Carvin playing the guitar for a lady at the table and so she goes over and sits with the lady to sing. My little show boat! Carvin taught her how to wow the crowd! LOL Good times -- I miss my Chy.

The rest of the video. She's really getting down at this point. So Cute!:

Show Memory #175 - Carvin Jones Band at AZ Bike Week 2010

I was at the Arizona Bike Week 2010, The Carvin Jones Band was on stage and I was working with Lisa Lisa at the merchandise counter when Carvin comes down off stage, grabs me and says "come on and bring the camera". So up on stage I went, in front of a crowd of 10,000 or more people! Mario, the bass player, instantly wants to dance while playing bass and Carvin, what a great showman, starts wowing the crowd. I begin to take photos, afraid to tell Carvin that the camera wasn't working so hot that night, and take pictures from behind to show the crowd mass that was cheering the band and yelling for more! He turns to smile for the camera and then back around to the crowd so I take that opportunity to do a little dance. Oh wait! I'm there for pictures! Ha, so I start taking more photographs as Mario begins to laugh when Carvin yet turns around again to smile for the camera. As the song enters it's completion I wave good-bye and slowly exit the stage. Receiving lots of thumbs up and praise, I finally get time to review the photos with Lisa Lisa. They are crap! The camera was definitely having a bad night. We didn't get to use any of the photos for promos, but sure made for some great memories.
